As the saying goes, “It’s more important to be free than to be happy.” In fact, there are a lot of people that would argue that happiness is a choice and that they would rather be miserable than be happy with their current situation. Happiness is a feeling that is not always easy to achieve. It is not something that can be measured or easily quantified, but it can still be understood as a difficult goal to accomplish. In other words, happiness cannot be achieved through effort alone.

It’s something you have to work for. The quote says the exact opposite of the popular saying, “Happiness is something you can choose.”
